About
What if the arts could change the world? I'm Kristine Bendul, a director, choreographer, performer, and educator on a mission to do just that. My career has been a journey of creative exploration, from performing in renowned Broadway productions like Twyla Tharp’s Movin’ Out and Cinderella to choreographing for significant events such as the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS’ benefits and directing innovative productions like The Blues Brothers at Radial Park or the immersive The Color Iz at the iconic Stonewall Inn.In 2020, I proudly made history as part of America’s first professional gender-neutral ballroom couple, a journey captured in the upcoming documentary Follow Lead Love, which is currently in post-production. This milestone marked a personal achievement and fueled my ongoing advocacy for gender equality, inclusivity, and empowerment through artistic expression. As an educator, I’ve had the privilege of teaching at prestigious institutions such as the Juilliard School and the University of Michigan. In the classroom, I strive to ignite the same passion in my students that has driven my own career. I believe that every lesson is an opportunity to shape future leaders in the arts who will continue to break barriers and innovate.I am a dedicated champion of equality and inclusivity, striving to create a more equitable and diverse arts community. Through every performance, every class, and every project, I am committed to breaking down barriers and redefining the future of the arts. Join me in creating a world where every voice is heard, every story is told, and every talent is nurtured.
